Henry Cejudo Out of Legacy FC 32 Headliner; Garcia Now Meets Page in Non-Title Bout
Henry Cejudo has withdrawn from a planned flyweight title headliner at Legacy Fighting Championship 32.
LFC promoter Mick Maynard announced the news Tuesday, revealing that Cejudo pulled out of the June 13 bout due to personal reasons. Damacio Page will instead square off with Elias Garcia in a non-title co-main event, and the show will be headlined by a middleweight title clash between Bubba Bush and Roger Narvaez.
Cejudo, 27, has thus far been perfect through six pro outings, though the Olympic wrestling gold medalist has struggled to make the flyweight limit of late. The 27-year-old last competed on Jan. 31, when he outpointed Garcia in a unanimous verdict.
Prior to that defeat at the hands of Cejudo, Garcia had won his first four pro outings, earning a majority decision victory over Matt Schnell in his LFC debut one year ago.
Page has won two of his last three fights after dropping four straight to prompt his UFC release in 2012. “The Angel of Death” last competed on Feb. 21, when he knocked out Matthew Lozano at LFC 28.
